Sam Alterman Attacks: Fear the Aristocow

WILLIAMSTOWN, MA - I was checking out the Instagram account, blackatwilliams, and saw myself being smeared by Sam Alterman '18. The backstory is that Quess Green '20 uploaded a complaint about my coverage of his viral YouTube video featuring a cringe-worthy vogue performance which was taped during his leave of absence from Williams over academic difficulties. You can see the original article here and judge for yourself if it is over-the-line. Everything I reported was based on his own online content.

As far as I can tell, Sam Alterman '18 wants to promote a distorted view of me online. He posted as follows:

I guess the thing that strikes me as most objectionable is the statement that I have ties to some "pretty dangerous and violent people and movements." That doesn't seem fair at all.

As far as I can recall, I've never doxed anyone if by doxing we mean revealing their home address or phone number online. I think it is fair to say that I have researched leftwing students, even black students, particularly when those students have been aggressively hostile or bigoted against white students or white professors.

The nude photo comment, I am guessing, refers to a moment when I responded to one of the students personally attacking me in the comment of an article I had written for Williams Alternative. She was supposedly something of an actress. Her best work, however, seemed to be her participation in a lame shoot. As I recall, the photo only showed her upper back. I thought it was funny and pathetic, but not prurient. The same student later became famous for blowing up much of her left arm during a violent confrontation with police during the Keystone Pipeline demonstrations.

If you want to learn more about Sam Alterman, you might want to check out his YouTube performance as a member of Williams College's only all-Disney, non-audition a capella group, The Aristocows. I am not sure that the non-audition thing is working for them. Sam Alterman is featured in an unwatchable version of "Try Everything" by Shakira from Disney's Zootopia. This was from the Aristocows - Spring 2017 concert.

If Sam Alterman notices this article, he should feel free to leave a comment. I am particularly interested to learn how he justifies saying I am connected to "pretty dangerous and violent people and movements." Given Sam Alterman's affection for the BLM movement, I think the world has more to fear from his friends than mine.

Torch This: Williams Prof Margaux Kristjansson Burns TPUSA Literature

WILLIAMSTOWN, MA - Just noticed this little bit in the Williams Record. Sound like one of the school's goofy leftwing professors was playing with fire near a TPUSA recruiting table out on the edge of Rte. 2. The table was staffed by Savannah Coelho, a TPUSA national field program representative. As the Record reports

Margaux Kristjansson, a Mellon postdoctoral fellow in the American studies department, burned one of TPUSA’s fliers near the table on Thursday, citing what she believed to be the organization’s “fascist politics.”

“[TPUSA] is totally legitimizing an idea of the U.S. as somehow under attack by socialism, which is a total ideological sleight-of-hand used to deflect from the ways that the U.S. as a state is built on the ongoing theft of Indigenous land and ongoing structural anti-Blackness,” Kristjansson said in an interview with the Record.

Margaux's picture on the Williams College website, right, looks more like a booking photo for a handcuffed BLM protestor than the headshot of an Ivy league educator. She is probably glad Rate My Professor ditched its hotness ratings. She is teaching grievance study courses with catchy titles like Indigenous Feminisms and Settler Colonialism, Care, Kinship, and Social Reproduction.

The Record turned to the brave John DiGravio ’21 for a comment. He said, “I do not have any comments on TPUSA. The Society for Conservative Thought has no affiliation or contact with the organization.”

The good news is that it looks like some students are interested in setting up a TPUSA chapter at Williams College. The Record reports,

Though most students who visited TPUSA’s stand disagreed with Coelho, she claimed that at least three students had privately expressed support for her throughout the day. She saw these private indications of support as part of a broader culture of intolerance towards conservatives at the College, pointing to the lack of a College Republicans club on campus.

If Coelho needs any help with this effort, please let her know she has friends over here at Williams Liberty or the new Instagram account, conservativeatwilliams

Bloody Mess: Williams Student, Natalie van Norman, Arrested During the Riots in Portland, OR

PORTLAND, OR - Natalie van Norman, a Williams student, is the girl with the bloody face arrested at the violent Antifa protest. She jumped out of an ambulance. She is the sister of Olivia van Norman, who was also arrested on September 5, 2020.

As I understand it, the Portland Police have released a statement confirming the name reported last night. Natalie van Norman, 20, the bloody-faced woman who jumped out of the ambulance, has been cited with felony riot, disorderly conduct and more. Her name is Natalie Van Norman from Redondo Beach CA. She was a part of a violent Antifa riot where people were warned to leave multiple times before action was taken. After she was arrested they transported her in an ambulance which she then chose to jump out of to evade arrest.

Sisters Olivia Van Norman, 19, and Natalie van Norman, 20, of Redondo Beach, CA, were both arrested at the violent Portland #antifa protest. Olivia was quickly released. Natalie jumped out of the ambulance. 'The arrestee that left the ambulance was later located at a hospital and cited by Oregon State Police. Natalie Van Norman, 20, was charged with Disorderly Conduct in the Second Degree, Interfering with a Peace Officer & Riot" Her sister, Olivia is a student at Reed College. See, https://isshot.com/olivia-jane-van-norman/28897/

I think it is fair to say that Natalie and Olivia Jane Van Norman should not have been there in the first place. They crossed state lines to incite violence, they are criminals.

It looks like their father, Mark van Norman '85, is a graduate of Williams College. He studied Mathematics. See, https://www.ameripriseadvisors.com/mark.vannorman/profile

If Natalie is 20 years old. I assume she is a senior, right? She would be the class of 2021. She is a graduate of Mira Costa High School. She wrote a petition to keep a substitute chemistry teacher who allowed open book exams. See, https://www.lavistamchs.com/?p=22036
